Default How real?

I am a new RC flyer. Soloed 2 weeks ago. I didn't get set up on G2 until after the solo session but I can tell you that after the first evening flying the simulator, I was a much improved flyer. I no longer have to think much about whether the plane is coming toward me or going away. That was a biggie. I had never landed on the runway until this weekend when, after a week of using G2 I landed 20+ times. Once on the grass, the rest on the asphalt runway. The grass landing was a dead stick. Could have made the runway but landed just short.

Airpolice is dead on with the lining up the runway issue. It is harder on G2 because in real life, you always know where the runway is in relation to the plane. I found using the view/look at ground setting to be a big help at first. Now I don't need it.

As for handling, It is quite realistic. Make sure you try a little wind now and then.

I think this is an excellent investment. On Sunday morning I flew inverted, did stall turns, inside and outside loops and snap rolls successfully (not perfectly) and probably would not even have tried most of them without the simulator.
