You've pretty well got the situation at hand.

You might search on here for Homelight 33's & 38's. They are the same block. There are pictures and considerable discussion as well as links to other sites.

You might also search on here for Poulan 33,38,46. They are close. The Poulan 46 doesn't have a way to hold the carb on and the coil does not bolt to the block but to the case.
