hdhg1:
Well unfortunately you got one of the two types of metal head setups that suck... I can't say where I posted
my experience of the two types that are on the market.. but the info is there.
Most of these questions have been answered before as the Eagle 50 is a direct clone of the
Walkera 22e and the guys that have been flying that model have modified and hacked them
to death. AS ALWAYS many of these questions can be found out at the thread
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_37..._1/key_/tm.htm
which is the same bird we fly... these guys have seen it all.
YES it takes time to read through 450+ pages of info.. you can search
with google and this systems search functions...
But the point is the information is there, or shall I say here.
This place... RCUniverse.com is awesome.
Can you all imagine the learning curve before the internet to try and fly these birds ???
I just started flying in November 2007... I didn't even know which heli to buy...
I ordered the Falcon 40... but sent it back and got the Eagle 50 because I knew
with experience and practice I would want more.
Well I am there.
I started with two 4x8 pieces of plywood on the ground (8x8) bounced all around...
Read with a passion RADDS School of Flight (but didn't follow to the T)
Got a half decent flight simulator... practice practice pratice...
and I am almost close to fly out back in hammer heads.
Oh I can do figure 8's... but my goal was to fly out... hammer head in and back.
and then... well it's on from there.
Got problems with you electronics... well read my threads and you probably hear it all.
Crambell:
Well dude... sorry to harsh you out. But I have seen it not all but most with the electronics.
I will state, and will repeat... these are not so much as "cheap" but inexpensive electronics...
and as such... well... sometimes it sucks until it gets worked out.
The motors will burn out and YOU WILL replace them frequently. If you fly model rockets the
motors, well, gone that flight. Try flying a model rocket for 8 minutes and you will blow $50 bucks.
Now of course you can go brushless... and of course you can drop $400-$1000.... for a heli
with more sophisticated electronics and motors and batteries and chargers...
In some of my prior posts I have warned people that this is a commitment... It is a hobby that
takes a lot of patience and dedication... but that's up to you.
One can read in every forum on this site... the same frustrations over and over...
that being.... "I can't fly... it's sitting on the shelf... I just built a new shelf to put the heli
on I can't fly..."
HELICOPTERS ARE NOT EASY TO FLY... THEY ARE NOT EASY TO MAINTAIN.
Just ask the United States Government Military....
For us we are just talking "toys" here.
But I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you work out your frustrations with electronics... and don't crash too much...
When I first started participating on RCUNIVERSE.COM a fellow of jtspin gave me encouragement
and told me to stick with it if I had the love of it... and man... all I want to do is fly everyday.
And thats what I do.
