I think this is the way some AMA officials once they are firmly entrenched would like to have it. Our VP in District V (who by the way is a subscriber to RCU under his own name Jim_McNeill - check his profile for laughs) fought the use of the internet and e-mail forums to the point where he fired AVPs and webmasters that were promoting it.
AMA members are no longer have to be in the dark. Those that want to take the time to find out what is going on by reviewing EC actions on the AMA web site and discussing issues on forums such as this one can be better informed so they can make choices at election time.
And there are some EC members, such as Dave Mathewson - D-II, that do come forward with explanations and timely information. It is people like this we should support while making every effort to unseat those that consider their position a God given right, not to be challenged or questioned.
