RE: CMP 540 Edge T 28% Build
Yup maidened mine today.
NO SNAP problem at all.
However I have my C.G. set just aft of the second tick mark...
IMHO this is FAR too TAIL HEAVY at either of the two rear marks!
Inverted my plane climbed hands off when it was trimmed for upright level forward flight!!!!
The C.G. should be forward of the first tick mark ( forward of the 25% mark ) for your first flights.
To achieve this, I had to move my batteries forward instead of where I originally had them in the pictures above.
Once forward inverted flight was stable as well as upright flight.
I had no slow speed snap tendancies, and the plane flies extremely well... better than I had thought.
With the ZDZ50 NR engine, this plane flies straight up, at 2/5 throttle!
The gear is pretty tough too.
I would recommend adding triangle stock to the area where I have the battery tray in my picture.
Notice that there is little support here just aft of the wing, prior to the back of the canopy area.
A little re-inforcement is a good idea here.
