I use mainly tamiya acrylics, for the reason that Tamiya provides the largest range of detail colors and the cheapest dollar per volume paint.
Of course, there are several good brands out there for your selection and experiment.

still has the tracks and some tools to paint up and the final weathering.
By the way, this KT is all hand painted......because I can't afford an airbrush
