Hey Empty, man that blue canopy is cool! You dont oil the belt, people use silicone lube on it I guess it smooths things up and have been told it reduces static charges, especially importat with carbon frames I believe. I just leave mine dry and it seems to be ok like that . Tighten it til you can push it (with out great force) to 3/4 the way across to the other belt.
