Default RE: A-10 flaps really necessary?

ORIGINAL: Stig Andersen

I'm working on a Dean Lassek A-10. I need to keep the plane below 25 kg. (55 LBS) Take off weight, so I'm trying to save all the weight I can. I built the wing in one piece of balsa covered foam.

My question is; How effective/necessary are the flaps in the A-10. There are some MIBO A-10's out there and I'd like to hear of experiences with flaps-up-landings. Anyone?

why dont you build it full spec.
then go to germay , get it licenced and you can fly anywhere?
