He would have died for sure had it not been. It's pretty bad when the CG of something as unstable as a heli does a better job on thd stick than that guy could have.
Certainly almost as stupid is that he didn't even bother to check for it. It was his ride and he taught himself how to start it up but didn't bother reading to the "Must unlock Cyclic before takeoff" section.
This guy knew just enough to be dangerous.
