Experienced simulator guy
So I've been considering getting into radio controlled helicopters. I race rc cars and sort of consider myself a wiz at it, but I know helicopters are a whole new ballgame. I've had realflight g3.5 for about seven to eight months and practice often. I can hover inverted, do various tricks, and fly backwards inverted {on a sim}. I don't know anyone who flies these, and plan on getting into it solo. I was just wondering if people who fly these for real consider the realflight sim just like the real thing. I know I can do alright as long as it is about the same as the sim. I also wondered if people who have been in it for a while can say that the real thing is much funner than the sim. I can play for a couple of hours at a time, but other times I seem to get sort of bored. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on something that people get tired of. Main point; is the real thing a whole lot funner than the sim? Thanks for any advice.
