Default Nexstar repair help

Hello,
After 3 short weeks my Nexstar has finally taken a beating needing some repairs.

First, the side of the fuselage has separated from the rest of the plane, in a line along where the 'side windows' would meet the 'windshield' (the decal is one solid piece of 'glass', but in a car, there would be metal frame holding the windshield meeting the metal frame around the door window). The first time it happened I used CA at the field for temp fix, and got home and epoxied the #$%^ out of the joint with 5min epoxy. I had another wing-first collision with the ground, and the joint has separated again. I was advised to reinforce with some extra balsa, but am not sure how to shape the wood as the top part of the plane is curved, the side is flat, and they meet on a member that protrudes into the plane. Sorry I don't have a camera. How do you fix this?

Second, there is minor damage to the front of the wing. Half-way between the fuse and the wing tip, on the top of the wing, 1.5 inches back from the leading edge, there is a split in the balsa sheet. It is about an inch and a half long, running lengthwise between two of the ribs. The covering is not damaged, but you can feel a soft spot and feel where the split is. Does this need to be repaired? If so, what is the recommended method?

Thanks for your help. Again, sorry I don't have a camera - I spent my extra $$$ on a new plane
