My JMP T-33 uses a UP-3 to control the retracts and the gear doors. No other valve is needed.
The side of the valve that has 3 nipples (ports)is the retract side. The center port is for your air supply. The port closest to the servo is for up retract. The one on the other side of the air supply port is for down retract. There are also 2 ports on top of the valve directly above the retract up and down ports. I plumbed my mains to ports on the side of the valve and the nose to the 2 ports on top.
The opposite side of the valve is for the gear doors. It has the same port setup as the retract side. They are plumbed the same way. Ports closest to the servo are for door close.
