I took out the pull-start because it was stuck and my finger slipped and the spring shot out. Is there a special tool to get it back in or is it impossible?

Also, starting the Engine is weird. I have to let it idle for 5 minutes before it won't stall when I give it gas. It goes through half a tank. After running it, it won't start unless I give it half throttle for a few pulls, then start it from idle. Its driving me nuts.

The receiver battery holder bent so the one of the AA batteries doesn't touch the contact. I can fix it with a tie, but is this normal?
