Default RE: Best chopper sim?

I have RFG 3.5, and 3 free sims. They all work. The biggest difference between the sims and real life is, sims have no pucker factor. You crash and hit a button there you go, new helicopter, no parts cost, no setup, just a nice flying helicopter again. RFG has good graphics, where for the most part the free ones do not have as good of graphics.

Any sim will help with muscle memory. Any sim will save you lots of money.

Here are a few free sims [link=http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html]free sim 1[/link] [link=http://www.marksfiles.net/HeliSimRC/index.htm]free sim 2[/link]

I will try some new stuff in FMS because it is a little slower so I have time to think as I do it. Then I do it in RFG because it is closer to what I fly. The speed of RFG is faster then FMS and it is harder to fly in RFG then FMS.

People will tell you to get this sim or that one because it is better or closer to reality. I flew with a guy who had Dave Brown sim. That was a sim that ran on a 64K computer. He did very well going from that sim to the real thing. Sure some of the sims are closer, better physics, better graphics, but in the end your thumbs don't really care. They just want to be used.

My 2 coppers worth.
