Default Best chopper sim?

Sorry I know this has been asked but a search gave me a load of rather useless topics...

Just wondering if anyone can recomend me a good solid rc chopper sim for a complete chopper noob thats considering buying a nitro chopper.
Played the Realflight 4 demo and liked it but the landing and grund physics didn't feel to detailed.

Is there a better sim out there?

Personally myself, I would go with Reflex or Phoenix, they are both great heli sims. I own Reflex and like it a lot but I've read a lot of good thing about the Phoenix sim, they say it's a great heli sim with good support. If I was to buy a new sim it would definitely be Phoenix, I like the idea that you can fly with other people online.

I have RFG 3.5, and 3 free sims. They all work. The biggest difference between the sims and real life is, sims have no pucker factor. You crash and hit a button there you go, new helicopter, no parts cost, no setup, just a nice flying helicopter again. RFG has good graphics, where for the most part the free ones do not have as good of graphics.

Any sim will help with muscle memory. Any sim will save you lots of money.

Here are a few free sims [link=http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html]free sim 1[/link] [link=http://www.marksfiles.net/HeliSimRC/index.htm]free sim 2[/link]

I will try some new stuff in FMS because it is a little slower so I have time to think as I do it. Then I do it in RFG because it is closer to what I fly. The speed of RFG is faster then FMS and it is harder to fly in RFG then FMS.

People will tell you to get this sim or that one because it is better or closer to reality. I flew with a guy who had Dave Brown sim. That was a sim that ran on a 64K computer. He did very well going from that sim to the real thing. Sure some of the sims are closer, better physics, better graphics, but in the end your thumbs don't really care. They just want to be used.

My 2 coppers worth.

Phoenix looks a winner, graphics look much better than RF.

Not to start an argument, but the original question really points us to a matter of opinions. That being said, an answer of "nope" or "no" is definitely biased and I bet comes from people who have never tried phoenix. I've played both phoenix and real flight a fair amount and in all honesty, I feel like I'm playing with a video game from an old SuperNES when I use realflight. They can both accomplish the same thing from a learning standpoint, phoenix does so while looking and feeling so much better imo. RF definitely has more options for training and demos etc but I'm more after the physics and feel than that stuff.

Phoenix has my vote hands down and I'll bet you feel the same if you go with it.
