maybe try running a larger prop. 20x8 is small for a dl-50. my fav is 22x8, but lots like the 23x8. thats 3 inches bigger than yours. your idle will come down with a bigger prop. try this before closing the hole up. you may not still get 7100 rpm, then again maybe you will! let us know how it goes
