Sorry, my bad. I do have a Xoar 22X8. I have edited my post.
BTW, the Xoar 22X8 give my WH 330LX unlimited vertical and good pullout. Compared to my older BME 3.5 that I had on the plane, the DL-50 is simply awsome. Other than the fast idle, it runs like a top.
Try the Vess 22B, I had this same issue with my engine and the Xoar the plane just wanted to float on by and it would take a long time for the engine to come down in Rpm. The Vess has more down line breaking, which i think loads the engine a little more on the low end. Bob at DL USA carries them.
