I didn't see any "Alice" tracks so that is good! Bend that motor mount back so the pinion makes good contact with the gear.

Make sure the battery is fully charged and take it outside and run it without the top on. Then run it with the top on. Run it away from homes and power lines and such.

It could be an antenna problem or interferance with electronics in your home.
