Actually a decent Sport plane or Pattern type plane would also be suitable. Maybe even more suitable.

Kinda had me worried so i went and checked mine

This plane as a 6volt 2700 mah bettery os .91 fs nothing was done to save oz anywhere so im sure you could get it lighter than this with little effort (and also remove the alum. spinner )
