The SPAD guys had to move SPADFEST 2008 from Bondourant, IA (sp?) near Des Moines to Council Bluffs, IA about 160 miles west because the original host field was under water last week. 21 pilots made the trip to Council Bluffs to fly their SPAD aircraft, which was a great turnout considering the last minute move. Many of the pilots camped out at the flying field in tents. Saturday night they were treated to severe thunderstorms, torrential rain, and an F2 tornado.

Rest assured that Wisconson isn't the only place that suffered from adverse weather recently.
