I used to make static modols; ships, airplanes, whatever, and Tamiya was my choic of kits to build. I knew they also made RCs, but I did not know that they were that big into the RC scene until rcently. Many of the old school RC fans had a Tamiya as tier very first RC, and honstly, I myself am quite cuious and want to gt on for myself to see how it would compare to a top grade RC like a Mugen or XRay or Serpent.

Something I am happy to see is Tamiya actually making beginner RTRs for around the $200 mark (very affordabl indeed, not as cheap as th chinese clones and rip-offs, but still affordable and moderate to good quality beginner RCs).
