Default Throttling a vintage FF engine?

Mornin' All,

I'm sure this question has already been asked but a search did not come up with any answers...

I am building up a Ben Buckle Challenger for R/C sport flying and I'm considering one of Woody Bartelt's fine reproduction Super Atom engines. As this engine was originally designed for freeflight applications, it is not equipped with a throttle control. Can (has?) this engine been modified to be R/C controllable? Any and all advice is appreciated.

I checked with Woody Bartelt but he is not aware of any conversions of his engines and could not offer any advice.

Thanks!
