RE: Starting with a mugen
I was just watching the Nationals,
I don't recall a mugen in the group of 10 if it was it did not do well top 5. Losi was 2 of the top 3 and had more entries than any other brand. Rc8 was there don't think they had a top 5 finisher. However anyone saying mugen is not tough as nails is crazy thats an excellent buggy so is the Losi. If your choosing between Losi and Mugen you can't go wrong. Not necessarily in this order Losi, Mugen, Associated and Xray are all of equall quality each has an advantage over the other. No matter what buggy you speak of they all have there promotors and detractors. The difference comes down to the driver. Lucky for you, you are in a win win situation.
I'm jealous that you that you have a choice between these 2 and glad for you at the same time. If it were me I would go with the one that my LHS carries parts for. Not that there subject to breakage. Its cool when you can get good face to face advice about your buggy not to mention they will probally will have hop ups in stock. Pick one and have fun there both great buggies.
