Default RE: 1st build looking for a high wing

Sigs Kadet LT 40 is a great build and an exceptional trainer. My stepson and I built it over the winter, with a little help from our friend Dave Cody is 9 years old and neither of us had any building experience prior to this. We (mainly me) made some pretty big mistakes (can you say, the firewall was supposed to go in with the engine mount blind nuts at the top and the nose gear ones at the bottom), and I'm sure the thing is overgross (heavy, we got a little epoxy happy not to mention a second firewall glued atop the first) but with a OS46 it took off at 3/4 throttle. It looked HUGE when we finished it. Both of us, and our instructor (Dave again!), could not believe how "smoothly" it flew. We'd do it again in a heartbeat. Good luck!
