Not to kill anybodies buzz but when you start to mod it, with the money it costs you can get a better bird. I have two K2's and use E-sky servos and motors, Hobbywing ESC, AR6100 Rx's and Telebee gyros to keep'em cheap.
Rather than dump a lot of money into an E-sky my next bird will be an HDX or Align 450; they come with good frames and high quality aluminum components out of the box. The math just seems to lead me there. MHO
It depends on what you want.
I Bought a Trex 450 XL because I could not afford a SE. I have now added CNC as parts broke or I found a good deal. I have now just upgraded to a SA frame. (It is NO longer an XL). Some may say for the money I have in it I could have gone to a 500 or 600
But at this time I have no interest to go bigger. Higher cost and up keep, need more room to fly and much more dangerous.
My King V2 out of box flew better than my Trex XL, I have learned that it is all about set up and less linkage is less slop as proven with my new SA frame.
The King is great for close to home small areas, and cheap to crash and less likely to kill someone. It has earned a permanent place in my hanger. So why not upgrade.
