Michael from Mississippi USA here. I've been flying RC helis for only about a month now, so I'm definitely a beginner. I started out with a 4-ch. model, the ESky Dauphin twin-rotor. However I will eventually upgrade to a 6-ch. TRex or equivalent. I strongly suggest purchasing the flight simulator software with whatever model you finally decide on. You'll be surprised at how many times you crash just learning to hover. It's kinda like learning to ride a bicycle compared to a motorcycle...bicycle crashes are less expensive, and painful, than motorcycle crashes.
