Hi, I am over the pond in the UK and I am looking at getting a micro indoor heli (not the little cheap foamies)
I have about £100 ($180 ish when converted) and I am looking at contra-rotators.
I have looked at these:
E-sky Robins 22 this loooks quite good and apparently is very easy to fly but with a small manual
E-Flite Blade CX2 It looks eve better and is apparently even easier to fly and has spektrum!!!
JPerkins Twister Bell 47G the classic contrat heli... also reports have said it is easy to fly
JPerkins Twister Hawk awesome looks and very stable in flight
JPerkins Twister Skylift Chinooks are cool and the manufacturers say it is the easiest
What would you go for???
any beginner tips also appreciated!!!

All counter rotating helis are pretty much the same, the esky lama v4 is also available in 2.4ghz if that's what you want. The skylift is very nice but also more expensive, not quite as maneuverable as the other co-axials though.

Michael from Mississippi USA here. I've been flying RC helis for only about a month now, so I'm definitely a beginner. I started out with a 4-ch. model, the ESky Dauphin twin-rotor. However I will eventually upgrade to a 6-ch. TRex or equivalent. I strongly suggest purchasing the flight simulator software with whatever model you finally decide on. You'll be surprised at how many times you crash just learning to hover. It's kinda like learning to ride a bicycle compared to a motorcycle...bicycle crashes are less expensive, and painful, than motorcycle crashes.

i have had a few coaxials and like the twister hawk... at the moemnt they are on a deal/steal at http://www.tjdmodels.com/ £60[8D]
http://www.tjdmodels.com/e-commerce/...productId=1759
they are a great flying machine. DONT think you can buy and fly though... they are easier to fly but you WILL crash it unless you have had flight previous..... If there is VERY little wind they will also fly outside quite stable but it REALLY does need to be zero wind.
but an extra battery as they only last maybe 10 mins. At first with all the concentration 10 mins seems like hrs lol..... when you get used to it 10 mins becomes a sinch.
happy flying.
p.S the twister can be upgraded LOTS if your into that kinda thing but fly sweet out of the box.
