I know this is an old thread, but someone here might be able to answer my question.
I have a 1/6 size P-51 ARF (CMP P-51 140
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_55...tm.htm#5509593 ) that I've added some mods to. With the extra weight I want to make sure I use a strong enough engine. I think this plane was designed around a YS 1.40, but with the mods I went to my LHS today and looked at the Saito 150 and 180. Impressive engines and they slid right in to the plane easily. There's no question about Saito reliability or power, but glow fuel costs vs. gas made me check out the Evo 26GT. It also looks like it would go right in without too many major mods to the plane.
Will the Evo 26GT or the 26GX be enough engine to fly my plane with the mods I've done? Any help before I make an engine decision would be great.
