I understand that some engines just like to run hot. But when the engine runs so hot that you can't even restart it due to vapor lock, there's a problem.
Once an engine gets past 230 its going to vapor lock. Either you get a composite carb or carry a can of compressed air. I ran a vspec carb for a while and would fire right up at 280 degrees. But then again, you shouldn't be in a situation that you need to start your engine when its that hot. ie, dont run out of gas in a long main
