Default RE: ? about receiver switches

ORIGINAL: MinnFlyer

3 wires are not needed on a switch harness. All the switch harness does is send the battery current to the Rx with a switch between them (And supplies a charging receptacle).

If you plug a battery directly into a receiver, it will work - even though the battery only has two leads.

Same thing with the Switch Harness. I use Futaba Switches with JR all the time. You just have to shave the tab off the plug so it will fit in the JR receiver.

OK thanks soooo much. I tried half heartedly to get the batter charger to hookup into the charger slot and it would go. I am sure I was doing it wrong. I will try again today and see what I can do because I don't want to take out that switch harness because it will leave a big hole in the side of the plane compared to the JR switch. Well off to see what happens.
