RCPilot44:
1. I am using the Slimline Pitts style muffler purchased from Desert Aircraft. It is a little pricey, but extremely well made and has provision for smoke (which I plan to use sometime in the future).
2. I have no pictures of the engine installation. It was a real pain to install. The plane previously had a Moki 2.1, and it is always more difficult to install an engine on a plane designed for a different engine. I made my own standoffs from 5/8 aluminum rod. I drilled 1/4 hole through the rod and put some extra long 1/4 X 20 socket head bolts with blind nuts on the firewall. Installing the choke mechanism was a pain, but when all is said and done, it was well worth it. The engine is awesome!!! I am running a Menz 22-8 prop, but I can see it can handle a 22-10 or even a 22-12 after it is broken in. Carries my Midwest Extra 300S (16 pounds 6 oz) with ease.
