With my Go 3 port sport, I couldn't get it to respond until over 280 degrees. By then, I couldn't restart it because of vapor lock. Horrible engine. Worst $125 I have ever spent.
It was probably a bad carb issue.
Agree, early problem where due to the wrong material being used in the carb causing it to heat up like the head for example, which of course is bad. All sorted on recent engines.
