I would suggest is to modify the tires, get rid of those rubber tires way to much grip. So go to your hardware store, picking up some ABS Plastic Piping (bring a rim, for sizing)

not PVC, because if you use PVC there is very little traction and you will just be messing up more than learning, and ABS has the perfect balance)
Swap out those tires, and practice. Then build up from there.
Don't try to learn on a "non beginner drift car"
