Yep, that sounds just like mine did, it would fly for about 2-3 minutes, then lose power, and the ESC would be extremely HOT.

Yeah, it's a direct plug in, and I'll post a pic of it mounted on the heli for you.

The stock ESC is a 25 amp, which is barely adequate for the job...

I have been very happy with the upgrade. There is a bit to learn about setting it up, we can help you when you get one (I can advise you on this particular one, but maybe not other ESC's, but most are similar).

I had no clue that you could set that many adjustments until I got the new ESC. But, don'w worry, it's not hard to do, just a bit of a learning curve to it...
