Hey auto,

Yep, that sounds just like mine did, it would fly for about 2-3 minutes, then lose power, and the ESC would be extremely HOT.
I had the same problem with mine and fixed it by loosening the main gear mesh and tail rotor belt. I now have no more overheating problems with the stock ESC.
