RE: King Tiger engine sound
Hi Guys
Yes, I am planning on a mp3 player, but, no, instead of hitting the play button before driving I am going to use a servo with a "pushrod" linked up to a spare switch on my 40 mhz transmitter so when I hit the start button the engine fires up, simple but effective !!!
I have converted a dodge v8 engine start up & tickover wav file to mp3, played a bit with my sound editor and it does sound quite good, but obviously not right. My speakers are in parallel, one is the heng long stock speaker mounted at the front where tamiya tell you to put the clutch servo, the other 2 are IBM laptop speakers, only 1 inch diameter, mounted onto the rear brace directly under the 2 round air vents on the top rear of the hull, like I say mounted onto the brace so I can take the shell off without having wires all over the place attached to lower part of the tank.
Regards
Richard
