I bent the flat end of the struts on an angle so they they are flat when bolted to the metal joiner on the fuse. I used the little plastic couplings that came with the kit to attach to the wing. You use one screw to attach them to the wing then use clevises to attach to the struts. If you don't have them, you could use a control horn but try to get very small ones so they aren't so obvious on the wing.
