Ok, bme 50, prozinger 22/8, 7200 rpm, guessing 25+lbs thrust at sea level. Plane is a portly cap, 18lbs dry...

Great power, but not unlimited, dies out about 1000ft up...

Does the lower air density, at 1000ft up, really cause the lack of verticle. I would think 7-8lbs thrust over weight (25-18=) would be more than adequate...

Thoughts?
