Default RE: DL-50 engine

I have now run the DL through 8 gallons of gas and it's performing very well. It starts easy has tones of power and it has never flamed out.

I switched to Red Line Two Stroke Racing Synthetic Oil, after 5 gallons. On the bottle it says that you can mix it between 16:1 to 100:1 I’m mixing it at 80:1

Is anybody else using this oil ?? How is the engine holding up??

Earlier today I switched to a Xoar 23x8 sword prop as well.

The Xoar 22x8 was turning 7200 and pulling 25 lbs of thrust @ 1200 ASL and 74 F
The Xoar 23x8 is turning 6700 and pulling 26¼ lbs of thrust @ 1200 ASL and 74 F

Is 6700 too low of an RPM for this engine ??

My RC Guys Pitts with the DL50 and 22x8 Xoar combo is a little bit faster, but the 23x8 has way better up lines. With the 22x8 the DL50 accelerates a bit faster as well. Another thing I notice is that what I thought to be engine exhaust noise with the 22x8 turned out to be prop noise. The plane is noticeably more quite with the 23x8.

All in all I like the 23x8 better on the DL50 and hoping that 6700 is OK for an RPM.

You can never have enough power, as you can always throttle back.
