That's true but Steve is running an 8ch RX.
It took me A while but one day it hit me that all of my RXs were 8ch and the Futaba default for the other elevator servo was ch8. By A while I'm talking A couple of years and A BIG pile of planes. I have never heard anyone say I was either smart or quick!! Depending on what I was doing I too was using channels 5, 6, or 7 and assigning channels all over the place. Mostly ch 5 though.
Then one day I was finishing up A plane for A friend that sent me A nice 9ch RX and when I spotted where the instructions said to put the extra elevator servo it was like getting hit with A thunder bolt!!!
It's just such an easy way to do it and getting the sub trim set up so both sides are correct.
Anyway, it may take me A while but I did get it right after A while.
Just passing on all that newly discovered information, it may save someone else A few years of walking the long way around the block.
