RE: Turbine Engine Oil
Yes I will run this engine for a few flights and then tear it apart to have a look. I haven't been out flying lately due to crappy weather and other life commitments.
I used 15% turbine oil and 2% castor oil.
I did not think the needles were more sensitive with this fuel. We adjusted the low speed needle an 1/8 of a turn at a time just like we did with the 10% nitro fuel and the high speed till the engine leaned out and slowed down and then we richened it up a bit to our liking.
The compression is raised in the engine, but I cannot tell you by how much because I do not know. I had the head machined so the squish band was .010" from the piston at TDC instead of the stock .016"
Everything I read pointed towards acetone helping with the idle, that's why I used it, but according to what I read it does nothing for the top end.
