RE: advice needed
Its a very nice boat but it uses an odd motor. It is called an outrunner, not normally used in boats but, should work o.k.
Since the KV of the motor is 2726, I would reccommend 2 packs (in parellel for 3S2P) of 3S Lipo (11.1V) since this will put the final rpm around 30,000rpm free running (2726 x 11.1volts = 30,258) I would start wit ha small prop like a x437 and check heat in motor, esc, and batteries after every minute of your first run or two so you know what the motor can do. I bet it has lots of torque but, to put a big prop on for first run would not be good.
Use a temp gun to measure and try to keep things well under 130F.
Enerland or Poly RC batteries are one of the best. I would recommend maybe something that has a good "C" rating 25- 30C and a capacity of 4500- 5000.
You could use just one pack of Lipos, just 3S1P but, the pack would need to be very good quality and rated more to 30- 50C (Neu has some new cells) to handle possible high amp draws.
Not much is known about this motor but the hull is a DeltaForce Knock off. Good hull and the hardware is nice. The only thing close to this is the SuperVee 27 Brushless but, this has more room for improvement and its a better made hull.
