Hi, im a gas and nitro fan (6 boats) but i need a fast electric and have seen this on ebay..
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/32-deep-vee-AR...742.m153.l1262
Brand New 32" deep vee ARTR set. 2726 KV brushless water cooled out-runner motor with 125A ESC. Boat hull made up hand laid fibre-glass with yellow gel coat. Recommended for use of 4-6s Li-Po or 6-24 cells Ni-mh batteries
Specification:
Length: 32" (excludes rudder and strut)
Beam: 9"
Motor: 2726KV out-runner with aluminum water cooled motor mount
ESC: 125A with water cooling jacket (installed)
Drive system: collet, 3/16" flexi cable, brass tube, teflon lining, teflon washer, propeller, prop nut, drive dog, aluminum stinger drive (installed)
Rudder: 130mm aluminum (installed)
Turn Funs: aluminum (installed)
Trim Tab: aluminum with stainless steel plate (installed)
Other accessories: antenna mount, water tubings (installed), magic tapes for ESC and batteries installation
Will it be quick and what batteries should I buy ie. size and make
If it was a nitro I would stick a big lump in but not sure about electrics
Regards Mick

Its a very nice boat but it uses an odd motor. It is called an outrunner, not normally used in boats but, should work o.k.
Since the KV of the motor is 2726, I would reccommend 2 packs (in parellel for 3S2P) of 3S Lipo (11.1V) since this will put the final rpm around 30,000rpm free running (2726 x 11.1volts = 30,258) I would start wit ha small prop like a x437 and check heat in motor, esc, and batteries after every minute of your first run or two so you know what the motor can do. I bet it has lots of torque but, to put a big prop on for first run would not be good.
Use a temp gun to measure and try to keep things well under 130F.
Enerland or Poly RC batteries are one of the best. I would recommend maybe something that has a good "C" rating 25- 30C and a capacity of 4500- 5000.
You could use just one pack of Lipos, just 3S1P but, the pack would need to be very good quality and rated more to 30- 50C (Neu has some new cells) to handle possible high amp draws.
Not much is known about this motor but the hull is a DeltaForce Knock off. Good hull and the hardware is nice. The only thing close to this is the SuperVee 27 Brushless but, this has more room for improvement and its a better made hull.
