Out of curiousity your 17 pound yak, how does it perform on the DL my GP 330s is going to be about 15 pounds. What kind of vertical and pull out from hover or you getting.
PS did you seal your hinges???
If it helps, i have a 18lb Extreme flight yak, hovers on about half throttle with a DL on KS pipe, pull out is strong but not savage, ideal power for it... with a 15lb airframe your going to need some throttle management!!
All my surfaces are sealed too.
I have a DL50 in a CAP-X coming in at 13.5 lb and the DL is way way too much power!!! unlimited rolling vertical on half throttle...
