My LHS is trying to pay his rent off selling fuel to us airplane guys; it's really frustrating. He owns a place with in indoor carpet car track, has a few parts, and pretty much stocks only fuel for airplanes, with a few other random parts (he can order GPM products). Anyway he's selling fuel at $35/gallon, 15%. I asked about getting a case of 10% and the price was $140!!!

I am not a vendor and I can get cases online for $20/gal, and I heard he gets them for $15 or something. That's over 100% mark-up. I think I'm done buying anything from him - I was ordering my planes and some accessories from him, and all he does is complain that he's not making any money, then rips us off for fuel.

If you hook people up with a good deal on fuel, they will support your store any way they can. It's a general store? People will start buying milk from you because you hook them up with a good deal on something else.
