You gotta take MFG specs with a "Grain of Salt" . Its Mostly Marketing.....

Toyota says my 4 liter Toyota V6 will get 32 MPG on the Highway.....LMAO!

Mebbe if I was drivin Down hill with the engine OFF!


A bit of Common sense is required here. This is how I see it........
All .18 RTR engines are going to be very Similar as far as performance.
High $$$ race smallblocks will , of course be more Powerful, but they are also made with High quality machining/parts as well as accessories, (good bearings, slidecarb, and sometimes matching header/Pipes), so its no surprise they make more power.

The same applies to Bigblocks IMHO.....RTR are very Similar.....Even the Race engines are mostly in the Same Ballpark with one another.....
Sure,,,some may be slightly better/faster than others, but you will only see a difference on the TRACK. And then you STILL need to be a better Driver/Setup Artist than the next guy.
If you are Bashing? Run whatever you can get your hands on at a decent Price and dont buy into the HYPE!.....IMHO
