Default Gyro and Temp Change

I read this in a Heli-max manual.

"When you take the heli outside, allow it to sit
for a few minutes before turning the radio on. This
will allow the gyro to become acclimated to the
temperature and is necessary due to the temporary
effect the temperature change can have on a
piezo gyro."

My house temp is a bout 70f and outside is about 85/90f.

Is this why the Gyro will not hold for the first few min of flying?
