I read this in a Heli-max manual.
"When you take the heli outside, allow it to sit
for a few minutes before turning the radio on. This
will allow the gyro to become acclimated to the
temperature and is necessary due to the temporary
effect the temperature change can have on a
piezo gyro."
My house temp is a bout 70f and outside is about 85/90f.
Is this why the Gyro will not hold for the first few min of flying?

IF you in the market for a low end gyro. This is the new Telebee, notice the extra pot on it for adjusting servo travel (ATV).
Price is reasonable too at close to the same as the standard Telebee gyro.

hmm good idea.
I usually fly in the tennis courts near my home.
About a 450 yards of 10 GA wire for ext cord oughta do it...

Actually if you have it in HH when you connect the battery when it is armed flip the gyro switch back and forth about 10 times stopping in the HH position seems to warm it up some. NO idea why but it works somewhat. Ran across that on a British forum (they should know its always cold over there)
