Cheech my RB is pretty easy to turn over with the plug out too, so I would not worry about that to much. Most important is when the plug is in that its tough to turn over thats the sign of good compression i.e. no air escaping around the piston. Sounds like its going pretty well for you continue with what your doing you'll be fine.
