RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
Yeah, the sidewinder would probably be the cheapest route, or you could see if you can find a deal on a vxl system. Either way, you'll at least have your cut off built in. Maybe just get yourself a brushless/brushed speed controller now and wait on a motor later. Fry the titan with 2s without damaging the batteries in the process. If you want to go sensorless, I'd recommend holding out for the mamba max speed control or even the vxl over the sidewinder. You get much more versatility out of either ones over the sidewinder. If you want to tweak your settings, you can do so just plugging in the mamba max to your computer. With the sidewinder, in order to do that, you gotta slap down extra cash for the castle link. Mamba has no motor limit and will run 3s on anything, whereas the sidewinder will not run 3s on anything more than the 4600. Sidewinder seems to me to be a weaker mamba, same features, only less power. The VXL has alot goin for it too, no motor limit, runs 3s lipo, and will run sensored or sensorless motors. I personally am going with a milder brushless setup for the stampede. I like to go slow and tear it up in the dirt/mud. I'm going with the LRP A.I. pro speed controller and a 9.5 I have a mamba max in my rustler (6900), has tons of raw power and uncontrollable torque, which is cool n all, but too much to really have fun in the dirt with. It just hops around and doesnt have the smoothest of starts like sensored systems.
